Shiatsu Massage

Shiatsu massage is combined with stretches, joint rotations and joint manipulation to give an all-over treatment, intended to treat the person on a holistic level. The aim of a Shiatsu Practitioner is to rebalance the flow of energy (Ki), along the meridians or channels.

Shiatsu techniques include massages with fingers, thumbs, feet and palms; assisted stretching; and joint manipulation and mobilization. To examine a patient, a shiatsu practitioner uses palpation and, sometimes, pulse diagnosis.
